Why I do not give references or referrals

I respect the privacy of my clients.

I have been a certified massage practitioner for over NINE years, and have spent eight of them on the internet. I have never required references by people wishing to experience my services. I am an upstanding citizen, I declare my income and pay my taxes. I take care of my family and participate in my local community. I conduct myself in a professional matter in public.

As such a professional, I obey the laws governing my profession, and the laws in the state of Virginia. I have proper credentials and licenses to conduct my business in a professional matter.

I do not provide any services, or display behavior, that is illegal within the Virginia Code of Laws, immoral, unethical in the eyes of the wellness community, or would jeopardize the relationship of clients or myself with respective spouses or partners. I do not provide services that fall under the Prostitution Laws in Virginia. I am NOT an escort or companion.

The only reason for me to share client information is when I work with physicians or chiropractors on their patients in cases of injury care of rehabilitation. A release form MUST be filled out for patients/clients in these cases.

I feel that it is NOT MY BUSINESS to know from whom clients seek services other than myself. Clients, just like any other consumers, have the right to choose the business they wish to patronize.
