After two weeks of absence due to a family emergency, and spending several days answering missed emails and calls, I am back on full-time schedule this week. Thank goodness...@!

Mon-Fri 9:30am to 5pm. for late sessions, a 5pm/5:30 session start is available with 24-48 hour notice. Next available Saturdays are May 5 and 12, each from 10am to 2pm.

Good news is: I just bought a new massage table. The last one lasted almost 7 years, and endured at least 3000 massages.... So, the new table is 2 inches wider, is a bit thicker, can hold up to 1500 pounds of total weight (instead of 500 on previous tables) and has an arm rest in front of the head piece. All clients should feel a bit more spoiled now.....

Even better news: I renewed my studio lease for another 2 years last week. so for all those people who only stick their heads onto my website once a year, now you can see that I am still in business, and intend to stay a bit longer.

It's all good ,and it's all for the good of my clients.

massage businesses getting busted

Over the past two months, I have received a dozen inquiries that challenge the legitimacy of my business services. I am getting tired of answering that question, because it is already answered on the website.

If you want to know what the VA laws are concerning operating a massage business, go on the internet and search for "VA laws, massage " , and also look under "VA prostitution laws". or go to your local government office and request a printed copy of local laws and regulation and restrictions.

Reasons for busting a massage business: ( list is in no particular order of importance or occurance)

1. doing massage without a license (state or national massage license required in some states or local jurisdictions)

2. operating a massage business from a home ( local restriction in some jurisdictions)

3. operating a business without business license

4. noise complaints from neighbors ( example: car traffic all night, moaning noises from a spa)

5 human trafficking ( mostly spas with multiple attendants)

6. money laundering

7 drug use , sales

8. tax evasion

9. oral or intercourse contact between practitioner and client which clearly falls within the prostitution laws in VA.

The difference between my business and others is clearly explained on other pages on this website. Please do your research before contacting me about the legitimacy of my services.

In the past two weeks, I have received 6 inquiries for massage from other countries and continents. My front page clearly states that I am in Virginia, USA. Not Australia, Africa , India or England. I also do not have any contacts or recommendations for people with similar businesses as mine. Please read the website from the first paragraph on the first page.

Latest leather pieces from me

If you have met me and been in my studio or paid attention to the signature lines in my emails, you might have noticed I do leather work as my second passion.

I want to show off some of my recent pieces. If you are interested in any of these pieces, please contact me via email., with "leather work" in the subject line.

1. Leather spike collar

I made this collar for a lady who loves riding motorcycles on weekends. I started with a piece of saddle strap, 5/8" wide, added nickel spots and spikes alternately. The closure is adjustable with 2 sets of holes and round lace. I finished the item with a layer of clear leather sheen to seal dyes and preserve the piece for long wear. This item was sold for $20 .

I have some more spots and spikes and can duplicate, to your specifications.

2. Raisin Mahogany Purse:

I bought a large piece of hide with an overall floral print pattern on it, to make a variety of pieces with. The first one is a purse, 10 inch wide, 9 inch high, side taper from 4 inch at bottom to 3 inch at top. Hand-laced all around with double loop stitch.

Interior is lined with red/black floral cotton lining, and one full width inside pocket. Brass closure on front. Shoulder strap 5/8 inch wide. This item is in my inventory, priced at $80.00

3. CD Case in Briar Brown

Cut from the same hide as #2, this CD case measures 7 inch across, 6.5 inch wide, 2 inch deep. Holds 24 CDs. All around double zipper. Briar Brown is a medium brown that brings out the details of the floral design.

Hand-laced with black double loop stitch. Finished with a layer of clear leather sheen, to seal dyes and preserve the item for long use. This item is in my inventory, priced at $ 40.00

4. Kindle or Tablet Cover case in Black

Again, from the same floral hide. Slipcase measures 8 inch wide by 9 inch long, can hold any tablet or kindle up to 7.5" by 8.5". Interior is fully lined with black patterned cotton lining. Snap closure on top. Hand-laced with Black double loop stitch. Finished with clear leather sheen to seal the dye and preserve for long use.

Traveling through tornadoes and flooding

If you have been trying to email or call me and did not get an answer right away, it was because I have been traveling between Richmond and the southern parts of Arkansas on a personal family matter for the past few weeks. 1100 miles one way is no small undertaking. And to do it through tornadoes and flood twice, -- I am glad I am back in Virginia.

The first trip was over Easter Holiday, and the second day of my trip home was through the tornadoes in Tennessee and SW Va. Then, a week later, I received news that a loved one had passed away, and I had to make the trip again for the funeral.

Areas of Va, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi were still damaged by the tornadoes, and areas around Memphis were already flooding from the storms and rains, and some interstates completely closed. New route was plotted, via Chattanooga, all the way down to i_20, then through Louisiana going west to Arkansas.

While the sadness of a loved one's passing was in the forefront of our thoughts, all the family members attending had to plot new ways to get back to their home states. We went back through Memphis, because the southern route was flooding, but the main roads to Memphis were open. If we had left a day later then we did, we would have been stuck somewhere in the flooded areas.

For the past few days, I have been thinking about all those lives along the Mississippi, the crops of thousands of acres lost to flood waters, the employees in small gas stations and convenience stores , hotels, and other businesses who have lost their livelihoods. I know what that area is like, I Have met many awesome people there over the years. I pray for their lives. Please say a prayer for the people devastated by the storms and floods when you read this message.

spring allergies

I have been away from the studio the past few days due to spring allergies/sinus problems. I got all through the mess over the weekend and am back in the office this week. If you have been trying to reach me in the past week and have not received a reply from me yet, I am working on answering All inquiries from the last week. Personal hygiene issues

Most clients spend the majority of time on their stomachs on my massage table. With some people requesting only minimum draping or none at all, I ocasionally come across a client who may not be aware that he/she did not wipe properly during their last bathroom break.

It can be frustrating to see or smell or deal with "dingleberries". Please make sure your body parts are clean before you get on my table. Don't make me embarrass you and bring you a washcloth....

I have clean washcloths and hot water in the bathroom, please use them.
